Do NOT consider a "portable keyboard" for a child!
These keyboards DO NOT have "weighted action". The touch or the "feel" of the keys is SO important when it comes to teaching little fingers!
DO NOT BUY A USED YAMAHA PIANO UNTIL YOU TALK TO US! There are unscrupulous people that sell Yamaha pianos that are NOT intended for the USA. These pianos are called "CONTAINER PIANOS" they are used pianos made for Japanese students. You can usually tell these pianos because they have only two pedals! BEWARE! We hear of people involved in law suits all the time regarding these inferior pianos. Don't fall into this trap! Only an AUTHORIZED YAMAHA DEALER supplies authentic Yamaha pianos made for the USA!
